Before starting Katilu, founder Sarah Vreeland spent nearly a decade in product development and sales, where she honed her skills and discovered the best global resources. Drawing inspiration from her travels, the vibrant city of Brooklyn, and vintage textiles and furnishings, Vreeland initially launched a melamine dish line. As a pioneer in brand consulting within the branded and private label homeware space, her team collaborated with clients in retail and hospitality to create trend-driven designs that cater to their customers across various materials. In 2020, Katilu seized the opportunity to pivot towards consulting with emerging brands, focusing on sales growth strategies and strategic partnerships, which have become the backbone of the business today.
